Kabir is a bright young man who always has a smile on his face. He is currently working on the arduino curriculum learning how to build circuits and add functionality to them. He is a fast learner and is always a joy to work with. We wish kabir the best as he continues on to learn and build here at scienzminds and outside.

He will be unable to join us for a few months, but his family would appreciate it if you contributed to a charity in honor of him that is near and dear to their heart, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

LEGO Science Math Smart – Age: 4.5 to 6 years

Young campers discover the joy of building goal oriented models and learn concepts in STEM. They get to build hands-on models on their own and learn to problem solve and think critically. Campers build several models with challenges and questions that trigger children’s imaginations. This will help them build problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Campers are introduced to a variety of STEM vocabulary, and they learn how to apply them to the projects they are doing.

Amazing Robot Animals – Age: 6 to 9 years

Robotic animals! This hands-on robotics camp by Scienzminds is appropriate for a younger age group. They learn how to build animal-themed robots incorporating various sensors and motors. Students learn a drag-and-drop programming interface and program the robots to perform various actions. Kids learn several STEM and social science concepts in a fun and engaging way while they develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Robots for a Greener City – Age: 9 to 14 years

Focusing on the theme of renewable energy the student build challenging models, such as a power plant, a wind turbine and a dam.They learn how to harness the power of Sun, wind and water. This camp includes several activities, which guide students from simple to more advanced programming utilizing the LEGO NXT platform. Students are challenged to apply their programming and problem-­‐solving skills by making their robots solve real-­‐ world engineering challenges related to renewable energy students engage in scientific inquiry, reasoning and critical thinking.

Prisha completed the intro robotics WeDo program. While at ScienZminds, Isa with the intro robotic’s program, WeDo and the intermediate robotic’s program, NXT. In WeDo, he practiced complex construction of simple machines and basic programming. This month we are highlighting the achievements of Mickey K. Mickey has been with ScienZminds for almost a year. Throughout the year Mickey completed Common and Complete Palette in NXT.
